Cesare Battisti, the Italian militant who spent decades on the run after being convicted of four murders in the 1970s, has been captured in Bolivia and will be extradited to Italy, authorities in Brazil and Italy said on Sunday.

Cesare Battisti was convicted in absentia after escaping prison in Italy in 1982 where he was charged with four murders.
